Overview

Location & Accommodation

During my hiking trip to the Dolomites I stayed here with my two dogs and three other people for five nights. It's centrally located in the Dolomites and a perfect starting point for many hikes. On top of that the view of the mountains from the balcony of the apartment is absolutely amazing. We surely watched a few sun sets here. The apartment has three bedrooms and is quite spacious, my dogs were very comfortable here. Especially Dunya who loved laying on the balcony while I was having my breakfast in the morning. From the apartment you can walk into town or go for a nice hike in the area. There's not too much in the town itself, but there is a supermarket about a 10 minute drive from the apartment that has pretty anything you may need. â€‹â€‹â€‹

Overall experience

We really enjoyed our stay here. The surrounding nature is beautiful, the apartment has all you need for a comfortable stay (even a washing machine in the basement) and waking up to the view of the mountains was just amazing. The hosts were quite responsive and friendly. Though they had locked one of the bedrooms and it took a little time for them to unlock it after we asked for it. I would definitely mention when you book how many of the bedrooms you wish to use. The only downside was that the WiFi didn't really work in the master bedroom, though it was working perfectly fine in the kitchen and living room. The location of the apartment is very favourable if you want explore the highlights of the Dolomites. Plus you can park your car pretty much next to the apartment.

Accommodation details

Indoor space

The apartment is quite spacious with three bedrooms, one bathroom, a fairly large kitchen and a living room with sitting room adjacent. Plus the balcony is quite large and accessible from the master bedroom and the living room. It's located on the ground floor which is also really nice. We mainly used the kitchen and dining area where we shared dinners, the kitchen has all the supplies you need to cook meals. It has plenty of space for 4 to 5 people. The master bedroom is really spacious with a comfortable bed, both my dogs had more than enough space to wander around and find a comfortable spot to sleep and bed sheets and enough towels were provided.

Outdoor space

The house is surrounded by nature and beautiful views of the mountains. On the first day we took a short walk from the house to a viewpoint which was very nice, though there's not many walking paths and we ended up walking on the road where people can drive quite fast 😅. Most days we were away from the house, so I only went out with the dogs to let them sniff the patch of grass and do their business at the end of the road and didn't explore much beyond that. Though in front of the apartment there's a garden / small field.

We had three dogs with us during this trip and this seemed to be fine. You do pay 10 euros a night per dog.

Dog friendly tips in the area
