Reutte, Austria

Overview
Location & Accommodation
This dog-friendly hotel in Reutte was a super comfortable stop during our road trip towards the Dolomites. The views from the hotel are beautiful and it's very easy to walk straight from the hotel into town and explore the nature. There's lots of green space for the dogs the enjoy, a beautiful terrace, plus they were super comfortable in the room I booked. The hotel has a decently sized parking lot right in front and there's a breakfast room. However, there is not really a check in area. When I arrived the key to my room and the front door was in a box which I could access with a code provided. This place is perfect for an overnight stay if you're on a road trip, or if you want to explore the area nearby.
Overall experience
We stayed at this hotel in Reutte for a night during our road trip. The drive there was beautiful, and the surrounding landscape is seriously photogenic. When I arrived there was a self check in, it took me a second to find my room which was upstairs (no elevator). The stairs are closed stairs, but can be a bit slippery for dogs. The breakfast was really nice, with plenty of options, and the WiFi worked perfectly throughout our stay. The location makes it easy to explore the area, and there's enough space around the hotel to walk your dog without needing to go far. As the hotel seems to be quite old, it can be relatively noisy / squeaky.

Indoor space
The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxed stay. The bed was a little small and I had apparently booked a room with a separate bathroom, but it was very clean with a warm shower. The room however was super spacious and did have its own sink. As for the hotel, it doesn't really have much of a lobby. Once you enter through the front door, you'll enter the hallway where there's bathrooms and you'll find the breakfast room. The rooms are all located on the first and second floor (not on the ground floor as far as I saw).
Outdoor space
The hotel is surrounded by lots of green space with beautiful views over the mountains. On the property you will find a terrace / garden space where you can relax and enjoy the views and fresh air. It's easy to go for a walk with your dog from the hotel as you'll find open fields and walking trails right outside the property. The hotel is located right next to the main road, though the town is quite peaceful and there's not too much traffic.

Dog friendly amenities
Facilities & area
I really enjoyed our stay at this dog-friendly hotel in Reutte, it’s a great base if you’re planning to explore the Tyrol region with your dogs or just for an overnight stay during a road trip. The surrounding nature is stunning, and there's plenty of space right around the hotel to walk and sniff around. My dogs loved being out on the grassy areas, and there were a few quiet trails starting close to the property that made for nice short walks before or after heading out for the day.
Pet policy
I brought two of my dogs with me on this trip and informed the hotel when I booked. The hotel didn't charge a pet fee and there were no specific rules for the dogs. Though I don't think bringing them with you during breakfast would be welcome.
Dog friendly tips in the area
You can walk straight from the hotel to Urisee, which is a beautiful lake where dogs can also swim. It's a nice walk through the village and then uphill through a forest.
