Location & Accommodation
This relaxed accommodation is located in the Lot-et-Garonne department in south-western France. The two story apartment has two bedrooms with airconditioning and a comfortable living room / kitchen. The apartment is attached to another rental property and located on the host' their property, but you still have quite some privacy. The apartment has a nice terrace with bbq, where you may hear your neighbours, but don't really see them. We had a very lovely stay here and the dogs absolutely loved the property. The owners also have two dogs which are very well trained. The apartment is located in a lovely small town and close to some beautiful sights.
Overall experience
We stayed at this apartment for seven nights in late July and truly enjoyed our stay here. The outdoor space is great in summer, we really enjoyed having our breakfast in the sunny garden and staying on the big property with direct access to the river. The apartment is a little worn out and not necessarily absolutely clean, but it was good enough for us. We saw the owners a few times, they didn't speak much English, but were super friendly and relaxed.

Indoor space
The apartment has a full kitchen and comfortable living room on the first floor, as well as a separate toilet (there is no toilet upstairs). On the second floor you will find the two bedrooms which both have airconditioning and the bathroom with shower. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals and although there was no airconditioning in the living room/kitchen, it stayed rather cool so long you kept the doors/windows closed. ​
Outdoor space
We absolutely loved the outdoor space. We spent a lot of our time outside as the weather was also really nice. Right outside of your own apartment, there's a terrace with a table where we would often have breakfast and dinner. You have access to the entire property and there's some relaxed walks you can do on the property. There's a salt water swimming pool where we would sometimes have our dogs with us in the shade while we relaxed here. It's a short walk to the river where dogs can swim and cool off, there's a big deck and the owners even rent out SUP boards and kayaks if you want to enjoy a little adventure on the river. I had brought my own SUP board and took my dogs out multiple times. There is however some wildlife on the property (bunnies) and some chickens in a coop, that you may want to keep in mind if your dog has a hunting instinct. We kept our dogs on the leash all the times, but off leash was fine for the owner so long your dog has a recall.

Facilities & area
The house is great for a trip with dogs due to the airconditioned rooms and the cool living room. On top of that, the property has everything you need to entertain your dog. We mainly relaxed on the property, but there's some nice things to do in the area with your dog as well, we took them for a walk around Château de Bonaguil and if the weather allows it, visiting the villages of Pujols and Penne-d'Agenais are also recommended!
Pet policy
The property didn't really have any set rules regarding the dogs, nor did we have to pay an extra fee. They have lots of experience welcoming dogs! We brought three dogs and they were very chill! But do make sure to clean up after your dog.
